GlobTek is hiring a Test Engineer / Technician in Northvale, New Jersey. You'll test AC-DC power supplies and battery packs against our specifications and industry standards, troubleshoot failures, and develop the functional test systems used on new and existing products.
What you'll do
- Test new and existing products to company specifications and industry standards using oscilloscopes, multimeters and spectrum analyzers
- Develop, build and program functional test systems
- Troubleshoot and repair units using schematics, wiring diagrams and maintenance manuals
- Record test results clearly and report issues to engineering
- Support new product development by assembling and modifying prototypes
- Consult with the engineering team on unusual failures
What you'll bring
- B.S. in engineering; a BSEE is a plus
- 3+ years in an engineering, production or manufacturing environment
- Solid understanding of analog and digital signals and of analog power supplies
- Fine hand skills, including SMD soldering
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office and electronics design tools such as Altium, PADS or KiCad
- Methodical, detail-oriented and able to work independently
