GlobTek is hiring a Project Electrical Engineer in Northvale, New Jersey to support new product development. You'll build, modify and repair prototypes of AC-DC power supplies and battery packs, and turn the design team's ideas into working hardware.
This role suits someone who is hands-on, detail-minded and comfortable working independently.
What you'll do
- Assemble, modify and repair prototype AC-DC power supplies and battery packs for new products
- Modify existing products to meet customer requirements
- Read schematics and PCB drawings to implement changes and try out new ideas
- Test prototypes to company specifications and industry standards using oscilloscopes, multimeters and spectrum analyzers
- Work with the design engineers to solve unusual problems and keep projects moving
- Coordinate small projects and keep the work documented
What you'll bring
- B.S. in engineering; a BSEE is a plus
- 3+ years in an engineering, production or manufacturing environment
- Solid understanding of analog and digital signals and of analog power supplies
- Fine hand skills, including SMD soldering and basic sheet metal work
- Familiarity with Altium, PADS, KiCad or similar tools, and with Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and project management skills; self-motivated and able to work independently
