GlobTek (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. is hiring a Power Supply Design Engineer at our Asia Pacific factory in Suzhou Industrial Park. You'll design AC-DC and DC-DC switch-mode power supplies, battery chargers and battery packs for OEM customers worldwide, working with our design center in Northvale, New Jersey, and with the production lines in the same building.
What you'll do
- Design switch-mode power supplies across a range of topologies, from concept through EVT, DVT and volume production
- Design magnetics and transformers, working with our in-house winding line
- Create schematics, select components and build cost-effective bills of materials
- Work with PCB layout, mechanical, test and production teams through prototype builds and production ramp
- Prepare products for safety and EMC certification (CCC, UL, IEC 62368-1, IEC 60601-1) and support agency testing
- Lead root cause analysis, engineering change notices and cost reduction on existing products
- Coordinate with the US engineering team across time zones
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- 5+ years designing switch-mode power supplies
- Hands-on knowledge of magnetics, EMC and thermal design
- Working knowledge of product safety standards for ITE or medical equipment
- Fluent Mandarin and good written and spoken English
- Based in or willing to relocate to Suzhou
