GTM962250P series of 225W medical open-frame power supplies is designed for easiest system integration and stress-free compliance

GlobTek’s new GTM962250P series of 225W medical open-frame power supplies is designed for easiest system integration and stress-free compliance with international regulations. GTM962250P is available in output voltages between 12 and 54V, and comes standard with a 12V fan supply. GTM962250P uses the latest resonant power conversion technologies, allowing an industry leading 14.8W/in3 natural convection rating at 50°C and 85Vac, all while remaining highly cost competitive. GTM962250P is certified to IEC60601-1, IEC60601-1-11, IEC62368-1, and IEC60335-1 to accommodate a wide range of end-applications.

GTM962250P has several distinct advantages which make it stand out among the competition:
  • Full 140W natural convection power rating at 50°C ambient and at 85Vac input voltage; No derating required!
  • Class B conducted and radiated EMI without external ferrites, filters, or metal plates
  • Low output voltage ripple for all output voltages (<1% max., <0.75% typ.), for noise sensitive applications
  • Comes standard with GlobTek’s "F2" functional earth configuration, providing an optimal balance of EMI, immunity, and leakage current performance. (Other configurations available upon request.)
  • 20ms minimum hold-up time at 75% load (169W), for easy criterion A dips/interruptions compliance per IEC60601-1-2
  • Exceptionally low standby power consumption; < 0.15W at 230Vac

Standalone EMI testing of the power supply was performed with a floating resistive load. System-level EMI performance can vary based on cable routing and overall structure. EMI issues may be alleviated with addition of a ferrite core on the input or output cable harness. Custom cable harnesses with integrated ferrites are available upon request.
