The updated CCC standard (GB 1002-2024) introduces stricter requirements for AC power plugs to address emerging safety concerns in electrical applications. These changes align with the global trend toward improved electrical safety and durability.
Key Design Changes:1. Updated Dimensional Requirements
Changes:
- Plug pins now meet the latest thickness requirement of ≥1.55mm
- Critical dimension ("Dimension B") must be >6.5mm (GB/T 1002-2021/GB 1002-2024)
- Adjusted precision molds to meet thickness specifications
- Revised manufacturing tolerances to ensure dimensional consistency
- Enhanced mechanical strength and plugging durability
- Improved electrical contact reliability
- Reduced risk of pin deformation during use
Changes:
- Metal pins must now include insulation sleeves
- Use of high-temperature-resistant material (UL94 V-0 rated)
- Precision injection molding for consistent coverage
- Rigorous validation through dielectric testing, flex tests, tumble tests, etc.
- Eliminates exposed conductive surfaces during partial insertion
- Provides additional protection against accidental contact
- Enhances performance in humid or harsh environments

All changes must be completed by April 2026.

- Existing inventory will be phased out per standard depletion plans to make sure that by deadline all products will be compliant
- Updated products will be clearly marked with new compliance labels
