Regulatory Background
The updated CCC standard (GB 1002-2024) introduces stricter requirements for AC power plugs to address emerging safety concerns in electrical applications. These changes align with the global trend toward improved electrical safety and durability.
Key Design Changes:

1. Updated Dimensional Requirements
Changes:
  • Plug pins now meet the latest thickness requirement of ≥1.55mm
  • Critical dimension ("Dimension B") must be >6.5mm (GB/T 1002-2021/GB 1002-2024)
Implementation Measures:
  • Adjusted precision molds to meet thickness specifications
  • Revised manufacturing tolerances to ensure dimensional consistency

2. Addition of Insulation Sleeves

  • Metal pins must now include insulation sleeves

  • Rigorous validation through dielectric testing, flex tests, tumble tests, etc.
